They only go blind because their head has melted.

They already use sound pressure "cannons" - apparently some cruise ships are fitted with it.

How much does one of these lasers cost?

How much does a 7.62 or 5.56mm round cost?

Laser pointers about £2 normally from Amazon after all everyone in the media says you can blind a pilot at 20,000ft.

Add in government procurement, committee studies and outsourced analysis into effectiveness and they'll come out at about £5million each.

Yep, I hate cruises but if one offered a free H&K G3 with unlimited ammo whilst cruising off Mogadishu I'd definitely consider it! hehe

Surely if they are pirates they could just put the eye patch over the other eye for a minute (the one that works) then once the attack is over, just switch it back. Jobs a goodun.

I suppose it begs the question how would they know when it was over, but that might just make it more exciting.

It would probably be cheaper and more entertaining to get Jean-Michel Jarre to hold a concert off-shore.

Be good fun if they supplied every stateroom with balcony a bofors that you could wheel out if attacked, be a few pirates with messy undercrackers everytime a cruise ship appeared.

Of course a Gatling for First Class passengers needless to say.

That's going to make the Pirates very angry.

You don't want an angry pirate, do you?

That's the Pope performing a miracle, isn't it?

If they want pirates to go blind without breaking the UN convention they should just airdrop loads of copies of razzle over Somalia.
