I am looking for my first house at the moment, and tomorrow am having a second viewing on one that looks very promising. However, it has no gas supply and is heated with storage heaters.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get a gas supply brought to the house? Houses down the same street have gas so the main must be nearby.

Also, i have seen central heating kits (combi boiler, pipe, radiators, taps etc) for sale online between £800 - £1500. I would like to do all of the plumbing myself to obviously save cost, but what brand boilers are good to look out for? Any other tips? Is it worth it?

The house needs work and i don't mind putting the time in, i just would like a rough idea before i put any offers in.

All help appreciated smile

find someone working on the gas to do for you prob charge about 5-600 quid put another 1000 for the gasboard and them kits in paper a never enough for complete install; unless your got half an idea get somone to do it for you
