Amp to drive bathroom ceiling speakers?
Discussion
I have some MB Quart waterproof speakers going in my en suite bathroom ceiling for Ipod music and to play the waterproof tv sound also. Any recommendations on the amp to drive these? Not looking to spend loads, but want decent sound that will overcome the whirlpool bath noise a bit.
I have a couple of old Cambridge Audio cheapo amps, and a Rotel ra 921 kicking about too. Will these drive the 8ohm MB Quarts ok, or should I go for soemthing a bit more beefy? MB Quart NKA 116 is the speaker name, 6.5 inch, 2 ways, and I am fitting a pair.
cheers
PS anyone recommend a hi level to RCA converter lead, as the TV out is only Hi level?

The TV speaker outs are basically a 3.5mil jack, and into that they supply a 3.5mm jack to bell wire speaker cables! It has some tiny waterproof speakers too, and they work ok in fact, but with the whirlpool and shower going, they are not man enough!
So was hoping to drop down from hi levels to rca with adaptors, then amp it and run to some decent speakers. I recall when doing cars many many years ago, the hi level filters worked pretty well..
