BP joining with Rosneft

Will this have any effect with the share price of BP?
I don't deal with shares yet but will be looking, researching and starting in the next few coming weeks.

I bought 1000 BP shares when they were at 3.39, so have made a small tidy profit there .

After watching the news about Rosneft I am very tempted to buy 20k's worth of the same.

I have a Natwest share dealing account. Can I pre book a trade before the lSE opens ?

The shares were up 4% in New York when this was announced...so they will open up in London tomorrow morning up by around that amount.

I bought for the long term last summer during the st storm. Where they are in the next two years (and probably for longer) depends largely on the US litigation....hopefully the dividend will be restored in the first half of this year. It's going to be very difficult for management to deliver anything from operations that will overshadow the litigation...........
