Hello,
26 & not fit but not too unfit but looking to get into a little MA for fitness & general being able to half look after myself as well reasons.

Been reading lots of the MA posts on here but after some advice for good gyms/instructors near Chichester area (West Sussex)

General consenus seems to be that Muai thai is the MA to go for?!

But everyone seems to say its the instructor that is obviously the most important thing. Any help or advice would be very appreciated.

Thank in advance

Jon

I must confess my knowledge of clubs in your area is not that great, sorry.

You have answered your own question though really.

Just be aware; there are McThai clubs opening left right and centre these days.

When you say you want to be able to handle yourself, what exactly do you mean?

The reason I ask is that old school MT clubs will train you to within an inch of dying and will pressure you to death to join their fight team (and sell a few tickets to the owner's next show biggrin ). If you're happy with this, it's probably for you. If you aren't, try somewhere less hardcore.

Anywhere you find, post a link to their site here...I will be able to help more.
