My Ist Tiv a 350i was great fun although it did rattle and scuttle badly but never let me down, save a fuel leak from the swirl pot.
My 2nd was a 400se, fab car really fast and sounded the best. Again never gave me any trouble at all and only sold it to buy a SEAC.
The SEAC was a beast but no pop an banging on over run and not as quick as I had hoped. In truth I was always a bit concerned about what may go wrong and what the repair would cost me. It never let me down though.
After long break I bought my Griff recently. It is as quick as my SEAC was but is screwed together so much better.It feels like a modern design and looks great, sounds superb and thus far trouble free. I think for the performance it is excellent value and insurance is only £500 F.COMP. I would recommend to others as a good fun sports car that you have to drive rather than being driven, if you know what I mean!
Fuel consumption appears to be about the same as the wedges. Hope to go to next Suffolk meet.

I would imagine that the 5lt sounded very quite straight from your wedgie, unless it had a sports exhaust fitted. I'm not sure that the little bit of extra performance of the 5lt over the pre-cats is at all noticed in every day driving and although many say go for the latest Griff for your money owing to build quality improvements year on year. On any other car I would go this route but not a Griff, for me it had to be pre-cat for the noise and it is generally agreed that it is the car which marked a huge change for TVR. Having said this I love the looks of the Tuscan and the 'new' 350, not to mention the distinctive 'racy' exhaust notes.
