Is it hooke's law - everything that can go wrong will go wrong? lol

So yeah, I went round my mates house telling him it will be an hours job tops. I get to his garage at 7.30ish and we didn't finished till gone 12am!

We got the car up on the trolley jack and took the wheels off, we then survey the panels in the wheel arch and try to remove them, but the screws are absolutely jammed and won't turn, so we drill them out and replace...

All good... we then look at the relay (didn't want a non-relayed kit) and decide we have to extend the loom and figure how to route it, with no easy way we then drill a hole on each side rather than try to squeeze through existing grommits.

We finally get everything wired and test it up, all good the lights work etc and look good.

So we eventually put everything back together and test again. Again, all is working until I turn off the lights and ignition and the lights remain on until we remove the fuse! We replace the fuse and the lights come back on?! we are confused at this point and we narrow it back to the relay kit! I tell my mate to whack it with a hammer and hey presto it works again biggrin

So after several hours of trying to remove the F1 panel, arch panels and routing cabling we finally arrive at this. The lights have a slightly blue hue in the pics, but I think thats just the cameras white balance. There is no blue. In fact, there is a hint of orange from the 501 side light -

The lights point quite high, so they need adjustment now. Not looking forward to that as theres no easy way other than removing the wheels again and then somehow lowering the car back to normal height and then trying to line up the beam!

And just a quick pic of inside with the LED interior lights (not dash bulbs) -

Ps. they are 35w 5000k's from ebay. HIDS-direct iirc. I will get better pics where the white balance is corrected so I can give an accurate colour representation of them.

Nice job! I need to do mine at some point as driving at night with the standard setup is a little interesting, more using the force than actually seeing anything. Add raining into the mix and its point in roughly the right direction and hope.

Yeah, I found driving on un-lit motorway sections pretty dangerous at night and had to slow to silly speeds if there were no cars in front to follow.

Just need to find the motivation to align them! Might give it a try tomorrow.

Yes, the SPA gauge was installed to replace the failing standard mechanical item. It worked out a very similar price to getting the TVR one repaired/replaced so it was a no-brainer really smile

I didn't realise that the early Cerbs had an interior light over the top of the dash?

My 2000 model doesn't unfortunately...
