Vent colour?...

Hi peeps..Just wondered what the original colour of the vents used to be..I was gonna do em gold but will most likely paint them black..To match me new cheapo mirrors..Ive also took off the wiper arm for a touch up..Cheers..Zig

Hey, that bonnet looks to be a better fit than many you see!

Many moons ago, when I visited the factory I was talking to John Mlecek who was one of the shell builders when the wedges were in production and he told me they had no end of troubles with the early bonnets warping due to heat. The fix was to place a block on top of the plenum chamber, put a ratchet strap over the bonnet and under the car then put the car in the paint oven, which would soften the bonnet and pull it back into shape.

Looks like ive had a result then mate..There is a small bit of damage where people have slammed it shut and its chipped a little on the wiper housing..It closes with a gentle push..I had to have a moan at the ford guy the other day as he dropped it to shut it..Plus the car never leaked when i drove it back in the rain and it was peeing down..Two results..Im still not sure about the black on the vents..Im gonna try the gold to match the wheels and the front badge but if it looks too mingy ill paint them black..Cheers..Mark

Cheers mate..Yep up and running again although it nearly caught fire a few days ago..The pipe on the fuel pump was rubbing and the clip cut through the pipe and i lost £40 worth of fuel on the way to the garage to get it sorted..There was a 12 mile fuel trail..It works out about 1.74 miles to the gallon..Thats got to be the juiciest car on the planet,I actually run out as i pulled up outside..In fact in the photo you can still see the fuel stain on the road eminating from under the car..That was after about 30 seconds..

Hi chaps..Painted the bonnet vents and the wiper arm..Looking better..Also fitted a new gear knob..Wooden with the TVR logo in..Only took 3 days from the states to get here unlike some of the calendars which still havent been received yet..Royal mail dont you just love em...

I love my car and my car loves me..Seriously though i do love it more than i did..Cheers..Zig
