Looking for a compressor to just practice SMART repairs at home,i have a few typical SMART jobs to do bumper scuffs, alloy resprays.
I have seen a Clarke Rebel 30 compressor local to me second hand its a 2.5 hp 26ltr tank.produces 10 bar pressur and 9 cfm.
anyone have one of these?do you think this would be ok for this type of work?
Cheers

Usually best to decide what airtools you want to use then buy a compressor to suit the most air hungry of the tools.

I used a Sealey 25 litre compressor when i did SMART repairs for a living.Never had a problem using either a Pasche airbrush or my Devilbiss SRI HVLP gun with it...

If yo do a search in the Porsche forum you will find a pretty good post on the topic of choosing a compressor.

I use a 50ltr works ok for me,I do think 25ltr might be a bit to small and it will burn out in no time if you use it a lot.

I'm looking at the same compressor. I wonder what it's actual FAD cfm is though...

Usually a fair bit less than the displacement.
As an indication, this 3hp sealey shows 13.6 cfm displacement but only 9.9 cfm FAD maximum.

I would question the claim in the advert for the Ebay one that it is ideal for running air tools.

I don't think that compressor with a 50litre receiver would be ideal.

I have an Abac 3HP with a 150 litre tank and even that needs a breather every now and then when running an angle grinder for example.
