Due to a change in circumstances, I am going to have to part with my Taimar project.

Just before Christmas, I lifted the boy off the chassis and was surprised how solid the chassis actually is. The body has been completely stripped, interior removed, wiring loom dash etc as the car had been laid up around 10 years ago after the engine failed to start.

I have over the past year sourced lots of new/replacement parts as I disassembled the interior.

A full list of new parts will be included in the classified that I will post on here in the next day or two.

But to give you an idea, new parts include genuine exterior new Ford door handles, pair new Ford door locks. Triumph Dolomite front indicator & side light assemblies, external marker lights, replacement Smith’s gauges (oil pressure/fuel/volts/temp), and reconditioned speedo & rev counter. New wiper motor. New correct set of Smiths rocker switches (with names rather than symbols), new wiper motor. Reconditioned pedal box (see the thread on this section for pictures). Wiper wheel boxes etc. Set of replacement Anglia door hinges to replace the rotten originals.

Picture of the car pre strip down is on my home page here (silver with black interior & Webasto sunroof).

All parts removed have been carefully labeled, and boxed and I have lots of supporting pictures of each strip down stage.

I will be looking to sell the car complete with the spares, as I believe that this car is a very straightforward project for someone with the time to take it on.

PM me if you are interested, and I’ll let you know when the full advert & pictures are on here.

Regards

Antony
