Met him once in the executive boxes at Bolton, a real gentleman and so knowledgable about the modern game. He begrudgingly presented me with a signed pennant when I was the only person in the entire row of boxes who predicted a Watford win. I gave it away to a Bolton fan I'd never met except on an Internet forum!
