Interesting Black paint Ideas?

Planning on repainting my T350c its metalic black at the moment, With the front & rear end being repaired I need to repaint the car,

I fancy repainting it with a bronze or gold pearl added, Any one got any ideas ? Moonraker Black? does this have a bronze effect in the sunlight?


Any suggestions would be helpfull as pics are hard to see the effects properly,

Have a look at House Of Kolor. They do a few flake additives and the like. I used the prism effect on a skyline which worked very well - there's a similar one whose name escapes me that is better suited to darker colours.

Having worked and owning my own body shop for years the best colour I came across is a mclaren colour galaxy black, I could send you a spray out card if you wish

Yes, there is a gold/bronze reflection in the sunlight with Moonraker Black. Really good colour, got it on a Cerbery.

Agreed, Nebular Black is a great colour (slightly biased having a Nebular Blue car!!)

Not cheap though!!

Yes, there is a gold/bronze reflection in the sunlight with Moonraker Black. Really good colour, got it on a Cerbery.

thats strange, my t350c is moonraker black and its a silver reflection, not gold and bronze!!!

Mine is moonraker black as well, definitely no gold or bronze. Just silver metallic, in the right light conditions I have noticed it does have a slight aubergine tint.

Samantha, if you’re going to run it as a race car, wouldn't you want a colour that can easily/cheaply repaired? "rubbings’ racing Harry"

Nerbula Black Looks realy cool, I will have look at moonracker in the flesh,

I dont intend to smash the T350c once sorted. I will also have extra paint mixed up just in case, of little mishaps I my get involved in,

I plan having a go in the NSCC unmodified section, I will have a look at the colour the car is painted in on the paint code it has silver metalic in the black but not that noticable untill you get close up

Thanks for your ideas, I minght even paint white lemans stripes down the car.

That Nebular blue is amazing, I parked near you at Chatsworth last year and was star struck!

Its my second favourite colour ;-)
