Can't stop playing Mafia 2

Anyone else here love this game?
Atm, I'm going through on hard difficulty trying to find all the playboys and then gonna find all the wanted posters! I'll hopefully have a platinum trophy soon
Can't get enough of it.... If only it had free roam.

got it on steam for £3.99 ? free roam only works if you take a long time to complete the missions, just hope the snow melts later on in the game

I play it on PS3, there's one mission where you have to collect a load of $$ and you can use that as a free roam because there is no solid objective.
Can't wait for no.3 to come out!
The game reviewers were harsh on this though.

I'm not sure they were that harsh on it, compared to the likes of GTA4 or Red Dead, it's a real let-down. The whole city is a bit pointless as it's only ever used to drive from one mission to the next, it would have been better to drop the free-roam entirely and concentrate on the missions which were the best part of the game.

Probably a bit down to indivdual taste as well though, I'm a big fan of 50's US and interested in the 'classic' Mafia. Was kind of a perfect game for me Great music in it as well!

It's in my top 10. And FYI Uncharted 1-2 are both at no.1

One of the easiest ways to stop playing it is to play the original first. You will then be so dissapointed with the small map, the story that isn't as good as the original, no free roam and a map that is less interactive - it has train stations but no trains!?!?!?!???

Not really a rant just after Mafia 1 I found this a bit of a dissapointment. Did the campaign and havn't touched it again

I must be easily pleased then l0l. I never had no1. Did play it but only round a friends so can't really comment on it.
Hopefully the developers will listen and make Mafia 3 freeroam and with a bit more interactivity

I plyed the original and loved it. It took me ages to get to the end of the 4 PC CDROMs! Mafia 2 on the PS3 looks good, plays well and is a genuinely enjoyable game... sure the map is a little small, but as the cars are pretty slow, it takes long enough to drive around anyway! I'm never bothered with free roaming and collecting pointless posters / Playboys anyway, so for me the map was OK.

What was a dissapointment tho' was how quickly I finished it. I never have much time for games, so finishing this in 3 weeks was quite a let down. The career should be bigger IMO, otherwise it was good fun game.
