Hi everyone,

I've got a K Series (1.4 16v) in a Metro that I use to race in the RallyCross championships.

We're allowed to 'chip' the ECU but as you all know you can't chip the MEMS ECU. We're not allowed 3d management systems so an Emerald/DTA etc etc type system is out unfortunately.

Are the ECU's in K Series Elise's stock Rover MEMS or are they Lotus's own? If they are bespoke Lotus items (and therefore I assume mapped for performance rather than emmissions and efficiency) do you think one of these might work when mated to my engine?

Thanks for any help/advice/opinions.

AFAIK the S1 uses a Stock Rover MEMS the S2 uses Lotus' own K4 ECU which I believe is a cunningly disguised GEMS.

Waiting to be corrrected

Cheers,

Series 1 Elises used the standard Rover MEMS system, Series 2 Elises use Lotus' own K4 management system, I believe.
