I've recently notice some intermitent wheel judder accopmanied by an increase in dust on the front offside wheel and heat coming from the same wheel.

Based on this I'm guessing the Calliper is sticking. Just called BMW and they're quoting £267 for the caliper.

So, I though, are there any aftermarket alternatives / upgrades I should be considering?

Thanks,

Phill

Try Brakes Int'l - should be much cheaper than BMW. Not sure if their calipers are new or reconditioned, but there isn't any difference practically speaking. Bigg Red is another possibility.

eBay usually features a selection of E39 calipers as well.

If you're so inclined, you could rebuild the caliper with new seals for just a few quid.

What plenty said.

If you're competent enough to remove a calliper, fit a new one and bleed the system on an E39, I would suggest you're mechanically minded enough to take direction on rebuilding the calliper.
