What's the realistic top speed?

So what's the fastest you've been in it? Not on the public road as that would be 70 mph. But on a Vmax, airfield day. Don't think the straights on any UK circuit would be long enough either.

What spec engine? Standard 3R will top out at 160-165mph in 1.6 miles or so. 500bhp will have you stuck on the standard 6.8K rpm limiter at 180mph.

On an Autobahn in Germany I saw an indicated 175.
No idea what actual speed that was though as I didn't have any GPS at the time.

The noble has quite a bit of drag so needs a bit longer to get to top speed than some other cars

if you have 5 speed box expect 165 mph

6 speed box will go higher up to about 185 depending on power

i have seen 172 mph (on a private road of course !)

Not 100% sure but I think the soft cut is around 7750 /7800 rpm.
I also have 275/35/18 on the rear.

I can't remember, I think it was 197 through a beam, stock M400 did 163 and that was it.

Our 2.5 is reluctant to even reach 140, even stuggles to keep up with exiges and TVRs..... In fact was qute dissapointed with the performance, handling and braking when trying to give it some.

I won't win any pi--ing contests by admitting to 148 on sat nav ( 160ish on speedo) at Dunsfold last year.
Having the boost sorted at the moment, so hopefully will do better this year!

I like the ' Can't remember , but I think it was 197 ----' comment. I'm damn sure I would remember if I'd got that close to 200mph!
