which job to go for

Job 1 (current job)
Large scale company offering a secure job to a minimum of 2025 earning circa 26k but have earnt circa 32k with callout and 2 weekends a month OT including 2 weekends a month OT for the last few years. The job has security final salary pension 28 days + BH leave good sick pay, but the works slow and not very exciting and its a 45 mile commute.

Job 2
Working for a small company contract based who have a good contract which will run for the next 2-3 years. But it will only have 22 days + BH Leave no pension Statutory sick pay but the work will be busy and constant. i will earn circa 30K a year without having to work OT or callout. Will either include a company van (not for private use) or a car allowance.

Both have there pro's and con's what do i do!

The FS pension is a great perk, how difficult is the commute? Do you get a van/car with the 1st. job, who owns the 2nd. company if it is a family owned they can sell it at any time, also you are being paid out the owners profits so any perks are not very forthcoming. Having worked for both types I would lean towards the larger,current company, BUT you have got to do a lot of soul searching as to how bored you will be.
