My desktop has or should I say had www.pistonheads.com/gassing as the internet home page.
Somehow this has changed to some kind of search page.
Each time I change the internet options to PH it still reverts back to this B***dy page. if I type www.google.com for my search it brings up this page.
How can I get rid if this address / page? Even when I try to download the internet explorer service pack from the microsoft web page it opens up, youve guessed it, the b***dy search page. HELP

Phil, Thanks for your help
I've run cw shredder, ad-aware6, avg anti-virus, and have zonealarm fire wall. the machine has XP.
THE MACHINE STILL HAS ukvd searh engine. I've spoken to NTL my internet provider and the are not able to help me, so I'm still stuck. I'm not very profficient with all of this stuff so any further help from anyone reading this will be greatly received.

You need to run Hijack this, go to www.spywareinfo.com It is without any equal in the spyware arena, what they don't know they'll refer you to someone else. Hijack this will list all startup enties, BHO's etc, my guess would be a BHO (browser hrep object i think)has got your browser....follow the instructions carefully and my bet is you'll be free of this by tomorrow.

Or use System Restore to reset your registry back to before it started (see my hijack thread).
