I had a curry last night and bought 2 pack of plain nan bread to go with it. I ate one with the curry and wondering what to do with the spare. I have some cheddar cheese and could whizz up some chopped tomatoes and herbs for a sauce. Wish I had some chorizo.

Could this work?

Could do, wouldn't be very much like a pizza but a naan topped with cheese and toms would be perfectly edible, probably pretty good. Extra salt and chilli to give it a bit of a kick.

I over cooked the nan last night and it was very similar to a thin base pizza, however you have found a flaw in the plan, the nan only takes 4 mins to cook, wouldnt be long enough time for the cheese to cook.

Just grill it. Should be fine. How long does cheese on toast take?

used to do it for the kids, bit of pasta sauce over the nan, let them fire on whatever toppings they wanted, bit of cheese to finish and under the grill until the cheese melts. Quick and tasty.

Yes it works. referred to chez Dibble as "Bike saddle pizzas".* The Naan is already cooked, and you only really need a few minutes to cook the cheese and other toppings - the Naan breads won't burn in this amount of time.

We originally got the idea from Nigella.

Because of the shape, NOT the taste.

Best for fully loaded kebabs not pizzas.

I had a leftover naan from a curry on Saturday night, along with a small bit of pizza sauce leftover from earlier in the week, so bunged that on top on Sunday, along with a good grating of parmesan and some herbs, then stuck it under the grill for a few minutes. Perfect hangover fodder.

I always use garlic & coriander naan for my homemade pizzas - I use passata as a tomato base sauce, add thinly sliced chestnut mushrooms, red onion, halved plum or cherry toms, freshly ground black pepper, a sprinkle of dried oregano, some chopped fresh coriander, and a mix of grated cheddar and mozarella, whack it under the grill, delicious smile

Used to be able to get something similar from Tesco - balti naan pizza or something. They were rather good until you looked at the fat content! They no longer sell them which is good news for my waistline.

We had a naan left over so the next day we put some chilli ketchup on it, topped with cheese and jalepenos and shoved under the grill. Quite nice actually.

Cotty given your previous I'd suggest she is thinking bike saddle and you are thinking horse saddle.
