99% sure its the micro switch within the wiper motor. (wiper park swich)

Sadly switch cant be replaced separatly, so its a new wiper motor required.

Oddly enough that's an Achilles heel with TVRs as well - except the park switch can be changed seperately and isn't expensive. Mine has just failed for the second time in 11 years, so not bad really.

However on the S-Type yesterday in heavy rain with the wipers going full speed they suddenly crossed over and jammed mid-screen! Nowhere to stop (dual carriageway) so I had to keep going. Then after a minute or so they seperated but one was up at 30 degrees. Fortunately it just seemed loose on the shaft (no splines?) so I tightened the nut and hope it stays. Sorry, OT.
