When pulling off my drive-way left there is a clicking sound (a number of times at regler quick intervals). I am thinking this could be the CV joint?

So far it only happens coming off my drive (slops down). Any body had this? Even better is there an easy solution.

I had clicking noises after recently purchasing a used 2002 cooper. It only happened when turning left, down a slope. It turns out it was the top mount bearings, but this was coupled with severe pulling to the left. CV joint sounds like a possible cause. Are there any other sounds, any clunking when starting off from a standstill?

No other sounds and the car just got an MOT with just the rear bracks need dooing soon but a pass. The noise is only when turning left, it drive well apart from that.

If it's just had an MOT they should have picked up on any CV problems. (I'm by no means a car expert but have had many dealings with CV problems) Are you turning full lock when you hear the noise?
