We’re thinking of a week or so in Ireland in the Summer. Currently the ferry prices are £120 / £150 each way, but as our dates are not yet set, I was hoping to hold off booking until nearer the time.

So the exam question is: do Stenna escalate their prices as the dates become closer and the boat becomes booked? Or do they remain static?

Any experience from Irish Sea veterans gratefully receives.

Cheers

Stena, and Irish Ferries seem to match each others prices. In my experience, booking within 28 days of travel hurts you. Stena operate a flexi fare which allows you to cancel or change, but its MUCH dearer than standard. Book standard and dont change. Avoid Easter and Hols Times. If comming from South Wales, or London to say Cork Kerry consider Fastnet Line Ferries, its an overnight or 10 hrs tho.

Always book direct, avoid brokers and watch out for brokers pretending to be the actual ferry company !
