anyone tried Kumho Ecsta XS KU36?

As above they seem remarkably cheap at 65quid a corner in my desired size (205/50/15s) thats only fractionally more than good road tyres for my track/fun car. Was going to plump for Hankook RS2's but these are cheaper still, anyone own/use or run these. Need for trackdays starting in Febuary no reviews on what they are like in the wet???

I put a set of RS2's on an Integra Typre R they seemed really good, ultra stiff sidewalls, giving good turn in, good grip and feel in the dry, seemed fine in the wet, never tried them in cold weather. They replaced a set of AO48's which were well worn after a number of track days and I was impressed how good the feel was from the RS2's (normally after switching back from A048's to a road tyre they just feel awfull having got used to the track biased tyre, but the RS2's were a good winter replacement).

Camskill do RS2's for amazingly low prices in 15".

Had a pair on the rear of my car and I was very impressed with 'em.

Excellent grip in the wet and dry... I'll certainly be buying some more.

Used to run them on the prelude in my profile. Never had any grip issues with them.

Good compromise between performance and cost. Good midrange tyre imo.

considering these as a alternative to Hankook RS2, just wondered how the kumho's were in the wet/cold. I suspect no trackday tyre is going to be good in either unless its a wet only application?

I've always found the KU39s both cheap and able to take everything I can throw at them, wet or dry but they are useless in snow.

I currently have these on my ZR, and would agree that they are great tyres for the relatively low price. But yes, atrocious in the snow.

Anyone else tried these since?

Our Audi runabout need some 215/45/16's and this is the cheapest tyre I can find but they are an odd size. Just need to know if they are good enough when it rains and in regards to aquaplaning (though, they will be on 9J rims which doesn't help)
