Forza 3 game save corrupt

Gutted, my Forza 3 game save is corrupt. I get this error message every time I load the game:

"The Forza Motorsport 3 profile you are trying to load is no longer available"

I transferred all my game saves across to my elite 120gb hard drive a while back and now I can't play Forza. All my cars, setups, money and paintjobs are gone

I'm just hoping that my collectors edition content is still accessible.

Does anyone know if it's recoverable? I've Googled and can only find a method which is pretty dodgy and may result in me being banned from Xbox Live. If not, it looks like I'm starting from scratch again!

Sadly I don't thinks there's any way to get your stuff back, it's not really kept online.
