Hi folks,

not sure if my next car get ultima factory mirrors again, they are high mounted probably because of the wing, which i do not intend to use, I rather would prefer the mirrors to be not in the doors but in the front bulkhead piece of GRP. Has anybody done this and has a source for them ?

thanks

This is what I am putting on, think its the best off the shelf mirror as it looks much better with the carbon leg instead of the thin legs of most others...

Simon, thanks for the pics. Did you paint them (they look black) or do they come in different carbon colors from Radical?

Thanks,

Sven

Guys the mirror housing and support are C/F.........to be honest quality of finish could be better for the price but not bad.

Mirrors are not adjustable so would not be suitable for IVA.......positioning on bodywork is also matter of preference and driver size/height will come into play - def two man job to position if you don't want to be jumping in and out the car 20+ times.....not a pretty sight for the average Ultima driverlaugh

Hey Bud!

Yup starring role going sideways onto the grass outta the Bombhole!! Hopefully the Britcar vid will be even better - especially as I was the only driver not to have a crash driving

Louvres were a little Chrimbo jobbie - not quite finished yet but at least all the major bodywork cuts are done. Want to get more track time in her this year so also working on new exhaust - be nice to have a run out with the GT3 on the new Snett 300.....

Give yer a holler when I get back to Blighty next month......

I wonder could anyone get their hands on some of the outboard mirrors that were banned of the f1 cars last season.

Must admit, I prefer the look of these mirrors as well as the position, however...they look awfully vunerable on that long stalk!

The thought of coming back to you car at an event and finding that someone has succumbed to the temptation of bending, twisting or even breaking the thing off on purpose or accidentally, would give me sleepless nights.

Well...thats is presupposing you have not yet fitted those alarm flame-throwers of course!furious
