More seriously, I do wonder if it would be very, very useful to have an exclusive sticky with list sections for:

Ultima Active Builders
Ultima Owners
Ultima Groupies (those who would really, really like, but have not/ are not able to have one!)

....and lists their location - ie County, City, Town ...but nothing else (for security reasons)

Having been part of this site since 2006, I often wonder if there is a like-minded owner, builder, enthusast in my neck of the woods, but trying to find out is a pain in the ......!

At least with this info, any would-be builders, or just genuinely interested parties could easily find out who is local and ping them an email via the site.
And all those builders out there who are struggling on their own, and just want a bit of help can easily see who is closest to hail for help likewise!

I really do think something like this would foster a closer group (hug?)relationship with all the benefits, including promotion of the cause, without any problems of uninvited guests! Vetting of potential visitors is down to you of course! Passports and voting register searches manditory!

I for one would be very happy to show people around my unfinished project if I thought they were genuinely interested, and in addition, a bit of first-hand practical support and assistance from time-to-time would not go amiss either!

What do you guys think?
You would not be forced to put your handle and location on the listy if you did not want to!

in the stickies is a built site, I think this is all we need, no need for a new FRED, unfortunately it is somehow burried so most do not find it. Maybe our moderator can make it more visible. There you can place links for videos as well.

Whether it be a driving video, starting-first-time video, racong video, how-to-build or make something video or a build diary....all would be very welcome and useful to others....

Thing is spatz, the build sites only cater for those cars in build (or built) and even then, not everyone who's building burdens themselves with having to make a website for it too

If the wiki isn't successful, it will soon be clear, but it's worth a punt - even if it's just to keep Keith quiet
