Door cards and trim??

Hi chaps..was looking at how much of a job it would be re-covering the door cards and trim but when i tried to take them off i managed to rip the hard board door card..I found a screw inside of the ahstray which i want to remove as i dont smoke anymore and one on the door release but how does the arm rest come off..I will now have to make a new door card and fill if poss the hole where the ashtray was..Any suggestions please..Zig

As far as I recall, the hardboard sheet is just held by those plastic pegs around the edge; the ashtray and the door release have to come off first of course. Then you just prise all around the edge till the panel comes away... usually the pegs either snap off or rip out of the panel
The arm rest is held by 8 or so self-tappers that you'll see once the panel is off.
