For you Seabrook's lovers out there! It looks like a bold step with a good campaign, although the flavours are strange! I wonder what the MSG content is? Perhaps 0, like the existing range.

Those jacket potato and butter ones have the potential to ruin my diet, hope they pull it off though, I love Seabrooks.

'Flavour' simply means e-numbers I suspect.

I just wish they'd resurrect the garlic & herb flavour grumpy

Come on, Seabrooks. Sort it out.

Everything that goes into processed food of any sort has an e-number. Quite a lot of them are natural substances, the presence of e-numbers doesn't automatically mean crap food. Although in the case of crisps and flavouring it properly does.

I love their crisps. Have fond memories of them and a bottle of ben shaws shandy when I were a wee lass.

I ventured into the local morrisons the other week and came out with 6 multipacks of their salt and vinegar ones.

Only one pack has been opened, I was stocking up as they don't sell them in the local waitrose.

I love Seabrook's crisps, especially Prawn Cocktail, but the jury will be out on whether potato flavour (albeit with ketchup etc) catches on.

Seabrookes can poke their crisps up their arses after I went to their site, did a very lengthy site inspection, designed a fire fighting system that suited their fryers exactly and then got told they'd used my design to give to another supplier who copied it and knocked 15% off.

Tossers.

Depends on a few things and does not mean e-numbers all the time.
Quality (pricing) of the product is a major factor, some crisps even obtain the flavour simply by the cooking method, such as Walkers Sweet Chilli Sensations that are actually fried in chilli oil hence the price difference, they come under the "premium" range, alot of hand cooked crisps also considered premium, have high quality flavouring powders and techniques that do not just have flavour simulations but actual products. You would be stunned at the science and planning behind these new flavours.
Easy guide to quality is the RRP of a crisp, the more for less on a standard price would suggest more artificial techniques, and yes I do work for the biggest brand but shhhh don't tell anyone, I think Seabrook's are very very good actually.

Are you sure the other supplier wasn't just as competent as you as designing such things but cheaper? Isn't the scope for an "exact" design quite limited for such things?

Yes I am sure. Seabrookes and their tendering processes can poke off.

Did you spell their name correctly at the time? That might have been what annoyed them if not?

I want to help you with this deep-rooted annoyance of the crispy ones, let's work through this as a group.

Shall I get some drums and we can go to the woods? Maybe a hug?

I'll bring tofu and a supply of crisps that we can introduce slowly as the hugs take effect.
