Looking to build a shed over the summer. Want the shortest length to be no smaller than 7 meters and it has to be secure as am putting a lot of valuable gear in there.

Can anybody recommend any options?

Thanks

Brick would be the best for security but expensive and prob need planning!!

Other options is buy a shipping container they come in many sizes are secure and you can clad in wood to disguise as a shed

Build it with concrete and blocks, then add in some industrial strength leccy roller shutter doors and a double skinned galvanized steel padestrian door and thats about it really. It will last a lifetime and wont rust or blow away with the elements.Garage alarm with PIR dectector is also invaluable too.

I have a 'security shed' in my garden. It differs from a normal shed in that the cladding is shiplap (hard to pry bits off), the wooden frame is closely spaced so even once the cladding is removed you can't get in, it has a small slot-like window and the door has strong hinges and a padlock hasp that encloses the padlock to shield it from hammer blows. Being so strongly put together, it seems to be lasting extremely well too.

You probably can't buy them 'off the shelf' in the size you need, but since their construction is largely modular I expect a decent shed company would give you a price if you told them what you're looking for.

I've just bought one of these, at least one very similar. Cost over £1500 brand new. Being delivered tomorrow. Can't wait.

Yep,no way your average thief armed with the likes of a hacksaw, wood saw, cordless chop saw or sabre saw could get through the cladding and wooden frame uprights in a matter of seconds or a minute.

Sorry, but a wooden shed is not a "security shed".And especially with regards having expensive and valuable items inside it too,as per the OP,s thread and question.
