Overfinch Disco with Chevy 5.7
Discussion
There's an Overfinch Disco with a small-block Chev V8 for sale near me and was wondering if anyone had any experience with one?
Are there any drivetrain worries to think about?
Engine parts are no problem as I'm a Volvo Penta marine dealer and have loads of parts sitting here.
Cheers

There was one on ebay a few years back, fortunately I didn't log on after going to the pub.
As to your question, there is no reason why it would be any better or worse than a converted Classic. Worth checking the engine number casting number online, some had Corvette engines, some had truck engines.

Only ever buy an Overfinch is they can show you the full documentation of what was fitted. Are there any drivetrain worries to think about?

It was basically a list of goodies and most people went for just the engine and the badge and sometimes just the badges.
What you are looking for is that the ancilliaries have been upgraded to OF spec or else you are buying a confirmed disaster zone.
Risky enough as is.
Look for number of owners and mileage between MOT's. Noneleft OF in working order so if a previous owner has not paid the extra to get it working then you will have to or just become another low mileage seller.

There was one on ebay about a year ago (Suffolk area ?)advertised as an Overfinch Disco, except if you read it carefully it wasn't an Overfinch, it was built LIKE an Overfinch ,if they had built one. So be careful, not that Overfinch are helpful in researching/verifying their old cars apparently & that was before their recent troubles. As to your question, there is no reason why it would be any better or worse than a converted Classic.
