So yeah.. Picked it up earlier this week, Waiting to pay off my current insurance before i insure it so for a month or so i wont be driving it, gives me time to tinker. smile

Yes it's slow, yes it's not everybodys cup of tea but i've always loved them and to get one as my second car im happy. It's mine smile

IT's a 1994 Honda Civic Bali Hatchback. 1343cc. Carbed. Intend to daily drive it aswell as work on it! Suppose i better start the thread off with some pictures. smile Any input/constructive comments are more than welcome.

Cheers, Dan.

Next to my friends 96 Civic Coupe after i drove it home.

Sub + Amp my friend sold me. ( Only 400w. I didnt want to put 6x9's in my parcel shelf so used this as a cheap alternative for now, i dont play heavy bass music anyway)

With my friends Coupe again

Picture the previous owner had

One more

Current plans? Tidy it up. Maybe get some wheels for it, maybe lower it 40mm. Dependant on funds etc.

Also debating converting it to MPI, i can source the parts cheap and do the work myself. Better MPG And an increase in performance from carbed.

Just wanna keep it a year or two idealy and use it as a learning curve. Intend to get another after this one.

smile

It looks tidy, a mate of mine had one of those in the late 90's. Is it really on a carb though (unless it's been changed at a later date)? I thought all cars post 1st Jan '93 had to have fuel injection for the catalytic converter that was compulsory from that date.

Yeah it's carbed. I want to convert it to MPI but money is an issue currently.

And thanks for the comments smile The paints not that great, the camera makes it look better than it is, but it isn't too bad considering smile

Blimey that brings back a few memories. I had one of those in 98 as a company car, It was a jade green metallic colour LSi. It was pretty good, but it was terrible on a certain bend on the A46 outside of Bath. You would hear the tyres squeal at anything above 40 mph.

But yeah, plans at the moment:
Possible MPI Conversion.
New set of wheels.
Lower 40mm or 60mm.

Generally tidy it up etc.

So yeah, been a while since i updated. Love the car, so much fun to drive and susprisingly pokey for a little 1.3

Will keep updated every now and then, im aware its not exactly an amazing car but i've wanted an EG shaped civic since i was about 13 biggrin

Fitted the front door speakers today since the weather was nice

And then mid day these turned up smile

Only a 40mm Drop for now, didnt want to go lower on springs and coilovers are out of price range currently.
Should be fitted sometime next week, need to pop over and visit my friend who has some spring clamps i can borrow biggrin

Next plans are detail the st out of it, bring the paint up a bit better, Find a set of wheels and possibly an exhaust.

Another random picture, sat on my friends drive, Ignore the white st, thats where we didnt wipe off the wax frown Needs a good fking clean!

Drop a B16Z6 in this (you can pick them up for buttons) and you have a ready-made EG ESI, which go very nicely indeed. Even the 1.5 Vtecs go quite well as I remember (they were all the rage when I was in college - my mate had a particularly nice one in the same shade of red as yours, until he had an argument with Bambi in it...)
