RRS HST handling?
Discussion
Will handle exactly the same, unless your friend's 2.7 doesn't have Dynamic Response.
Some 2.7 HSEs, all SEs and S models don't have Dynamic Response as Standard. Think it was only an option on the HSE.
Only other thing that could make any difference to the handling to a lesser degree would be the size of wheels on the 2.7. HST came with 20's, 19's or 18's will make a slight difference but not a barge like difference.

Ha Ha, lots of flashing warning lights doesn't always mean a real problem.
The suspension will drop to Access Mode, it's lowest setting, in a 'Limp Mode' for all sorts of reasons. Some serious and some minor.
Mine did regularly at the same point and speed on an A road, the car thought it was going steeply downhill offroad at 70mph. Got totally confused and decided to drop the suspension and light up like a Christmas Tree. All due to the steering wheel be set off centre too much after getting the wheels aligned.
The steering wheel angle sensor reading, combined with some other incorrect sensor readings thought the Hill Descent Control was set whilst driving at 70mph. Something that should generally be used off road to control a descent slowly!
Steering Wheel corrected and problem fixed.
Or could be the suspension compressor. They're located close to the nearside rear wheelarch and are often used as jacking points by hairy arsed tyre fitters. Well done LR on putting something quite delicate right next to the jacking point of a 2.7t 4x4!
But your mates suspension could be f
ked anyway!
Back to your question, Dynamic Response should really only be present on 2.7 HSE. Check the back of the car for which model it is, anything other than an HSE or HST probably won't have it.
If it is an HSE and has 20' wheels, check if the front brakes are Brembos, will say on the calipers. These usually came as standard with the Dynamic Response.
Or check under the bonnet there will be an additional fluid resorvoir to the brake fluid and pas fluid resorvoirs.
Or ask you mate if he knows.
Can't think of anything else to check.

No 2.7 has no dynamic response. This started on the TDV8. hst will have it ,and will drive miles better that the 2.7.
It was definately an option, at least, and standard from MY07 on the 2.7 HSE, but happy to be corrected. So if its built late 06 onwards it should have it, earlier it could have it as an option.
