I`ve just found some crumpets in the bread bin! Haven`t seen any of these since about 1975, nice work Mrs H67. Christ knows what they`re made of but yumyum. Now what`s the PH recommended topping?

I have that or Siracha (Extra Garlic) on scrambled eggs for brekkie, but a crumpet seems to need a non-exotic topping.

It's either Anchor butter for me or after half cooking them in the toaster it's under the grill with some extra strong Pilgrims choice cheddar until they start burning at the edges.

Eggy crumpets can't be beat.

Soak in egg, fry off then serve with sweet chilli sauce and bacon. lick
