Over on YB John has just given us a sneek peek of the Procharger in his car. As pointed out by a sharp pistonheader it's one of Jason Scruggs old cars with a 522 BAE Hemi ....

Here it is with the Procharger F3139 good for around 2500hp....

And this is with the Procharger F4 dyno tested at 3350hp

I would think we could see some 3.7's or better from this car by the end of ADRL 1/8th season.

I think he is hoping for 3.80 run sinitially and possibly 3.60's or 3.70's over 1/8th. Now the calculations are not perfect and when dealing with twin tubo Promods can be way off. But 3.60's would be 5.80's in the 1/4...

in a blower car high 3.80s is about the 1/8 mile et for a high 5.8 low 5.9 1/4 mile lap

a blown tafc will go about 3.6s for a 5.6 1/4 mile et

a turbo car is way out of whack the best of them go 3.9/4.0 and still go 5.8 in a heavy weight legal 1/4 mile car

you cant say if it does this is will then do that
its often the case that if they run 3.6 in the eigth they wont make it to 1000 ft under power without nuking themselves

adrl 1/8 mile stuff is purppous built for 1/8 mile
its nothing like 1/4 mile stuff run on a shorter track

the procharger is a bit of an outsider but it has good and bad points
id say 3.8 was possible eventuly maybe
id also say that 3.6 was a tall order

the very best of the blowercars in high buck arab owned screw blown titaniun chassis guru tuned
adrl pro exrtreme cars only run 3.6 on a good day (yes i know about frankie and matt those are exeptions)

Hi WickedFish, thanks for detailing the prospective times. Just to add that 3.82 is the current Procharger record in a 1/8 ProMod. That was Rick Flec's twin Procharged Corvette. He is looking to turn up the wick this year as he says he has more boost available than a PSI screw blower.

What's interesting here is that the F4 Procharger is a larger single on a similar BAE Hemi.

Like you it's hard for me to imagine that either two F2's, a single F4 or twin Precision 94mm turbo's can produce results equal to the titanium PSI twin screw blowers on a BAE Hemi.

It sounds like you have a lot of experience. What's your take on the projected success of Johns F4 car...?

any experience i have is from reading as well as owning two pro mod cars,
my take on the projected sucess is simply that it sounds a tall order to run 3.6 but iv been wrong befour and no doubt sometime ill be wrong again
We have done our research as we will be one of the first to run a twin turbo hemi in pro mod in europe
although one was also run last year in testing that seems to have been overlooked
http://www.drag-zone.net/big-bad-brad-has-twins-t2...

look at my thread and ask your questions on a site where there are a lot of real pm guys including the european champ
there is an existing thread about pro chargers in pro mod

also the top adrl PX guys are running at around 4000 hp these days
