SMG clutch?

How can you tell if the clutch or gearbox is on it's way out on an SMG box?

Recently bought an 04 plate with aroud 72k on it, and although I don't think there is any issues with the box or clutch at the moment, I've only ever had manual cars before where you can feel from the bite and the characteristics of the clutch whether it's OK or not, but not sure how to tell on an SMG!

Basically, if it's not slipping or juddering it's fine.

No need to worry otherwise.

Nice one, thought it was probably something like that, but jsut wanted to check!

Yep, mine started juddering when pulling away - which meant new clutch.
