If they are simply there to help the existing Trafpol with accident management etc then fine.

However I sense that they may soon be "helping congestion with a laser gun" without too much warning...

They are there solely to facilitate the free movement of traffic. It is still the Police’s responsibility to enforce the law.

However, there have been rumours that they may be sworn in as special constables giving them Police powers so watch this space.
