mini cooper s horn problem

HI all, whilst out shopping yesterday i walked up to my mini unlocked it with the blipper and opened the tailgate then for some unknown reason the near side front horn sounded constantly!! and no matter what i tried i couldnt stop it in the end i disconnected the horn, but even now when i connect it its still constantly sounding. just wondering if any of you know or have had the problem and might be able to give me some idea of how to fix it? many thanks.

Had the issue with a week old cooper r52 shape, we where told it was an issue eithef with the alarm or bcu so it had to go into bmw. There was nothing we could do sadly
