ABERDEEN HOON 13TH FEB

I've picked the 13th Feb (Sunday) since the 20th seems to be out for a few people and no-ones complained about the 13th yet

The route (haven't tested it so might make a few adjustments or just discard it altogether )

Basically meet at the Ploughman at 1000 for 1030 start, say? Then finish in either Oldmeldrum or Inverurie sometime in the afternoon.

Hey guys,

Is anybody allowed to come out for the drive or is it just a usual crowd that go?

I would love to come out for a good run, but I doubt my car would be able to keep up with all of the cars mentioned above! I've only got a seat Ibiza, it's a 1.8T with 150bhp but that's nothing compared to all your cars!

hi scotty, anyone is welcome its a run not a race. there is as usual some very sprited driving but nothing dangerous and inappropriate driving isnt tolerated. safe overtakes and looking out for each other is the order of the day. And as for keeping up with quicker cars. 90% chance the roads will be wet and the big hitters will be tootling along. come along say hi, everyone is really good as long as you ask youl get a seat in anyones car.

Sorry to sound like a boy racer folks! but you know how some people get with a good 300+ BHP under their right foot and an open road ahead of them, not my type of driving to be honest! i saved long and hard to buy my car and the last thing i want to do is ditch it or thrash it (i love it too much! )

I completely understand, its definitely not put your foot down weather, whatever kind of car you are driving, i'm too much of a "what if i understeer at the next corner" or "what if there's a tractor that appears out of a farm track out of nowhere and i slam on the brakes" type of person to drive insanely fast out on the back roads, a good leisurely drive with some nice cars and some like minded petrolheads is my type of drive!!
