I have an alloy drive casing part of some description that came with some TWR/Jaguar xj220 parts I brought.I was told it may be a 4WD Jaguar prototype part but it has a BL Metro logo on it and the part number MET-VO-001 on it.
Before I chuck it in the scrap bin, which is where it would be now had it not come from where I got it from,I want to make sure it is not some rare or important part someone has been searching for, for years.
Is it a Metro 6r4 part,a Jag protoype part or a mass production part on an MG metro engine.I think it may be 6R4.
Anyone have any idea or can discount any of my suggestions?

I put a bottle of Merlot on it for size comparison.

Havent a clue. But there are other motorsport for sale areas, and maybe forums you could ask if someone on here doesnt know.

Or even advertise it on the dreaded ebay, or a typical listing that you are selling a picture of the item for 1p, but contact if you have more information on the part.

As you say, it would seem senseless to chuck it in the bin, when it could be very valuable to someone, regardless of actual monetary value.

Can't help either but maybe the 1000 year old bottle of Merlot is worth even more?

Ah bugger. It was just the blurry photo. Thought it said 1007 but it's actually 2007 so not a very old bottle of Merlot after all.

Your gonna struggle to find anyone who was part of the 6R4 era at Prodrive except for DR and Lappy themselves!!

This would be my first call:
