Had a poke around a bit of an aircraft boneyard in south west Cornwall recently. Thought some PH plane buffs might be interested. Sky and light conditions were far from perfect - wishing I'd taken a few exposure brackets to try a little HDR.

Always makes me a bit depressed - where is that?

Predannack airfield, on The Lizard just down the road from Culdrose. It is indeed quite depressing. I felt particularly sad about the old A&AEE Boscombe Canberra.

They don't seem to be tethered, I'd have thought they'd be at risk of being blown around, especially the Jaguar as all the heavy bits and fuel will be long gone

Pedannack by any chance? Near Culdrose.


The Sea Harrier FA2 really upsets me. A fantastic jet and though slow still a very capable fighter plane. I guess this one may have been damaged in hard landing or something. Still sad to see an old sea jet rotting like that.
