Alarm problems

OK guys here we go!!! Have replaced fob batteries and fob works to disarm immobiliser thus priming the fuel pump. (car also starts) However the sing alarm keeps flashing the hazzards and the LED on dash is flashing (siren disabled to keep neighbours happy). So it appears the fob works but the Alarm doesn't. I've emailed Carl and no doubt will speak to him Monday. BUT does anyone on here have any ideas? Is there a fuse on the alarm system that I can check?

Not sure this will help - but had a similar problem when I had accidently used the door locking button on the dash and hadnt then opened the doors and the alarm/flashers/and red alarm light would come on every 20 seconds or so...................... who knows, might help!!!!

Have tried pressing the door lock button out of pure frustration really but this didn't make any difference. still flashing hazzards and unable to lock car. COOL not..

Try disconneting the main battery earth, leave it off for a minute. It may reset the alarm system.

As Ant says but press the key fob within a few seconds afterwards

Well having spoken to Carl Baker my only option was a NEW system. Today was the day and with an early start arriving at his place for 07:30, a swift cup of tea and it was dismantle time. 8hrs later one complete, very neatly fitted new meta alarm. Incorporating a boot release, a spare key (as I only had one originally) and my "behind the dash" wiring loom tidied nicely.
I can not praise him highly enough! He looked after my PJ as though it were his, explaining everything as he went. If ever anyone has alarm issues with their TVR no-one else will do. You MUST go see Carl.
