Yeah, how come you don't want a quaife?

Any plate type diff will need servicing when the plates wear out. Quaife is fit and forget.

Went from a gripper(plate type) to Quaife ATB in my Charade Turbo. the Quaife is just as effective but FAR FAR better day to day. The gripper was noisy, clunky and too quick to lock and unlock. Quaife was much more progressive in its operation. You wouldnt know it was there until you apex'd a corner enthusiastically.

I didn't want a Quaife after hearing so many horror storys about there stuff over the years ( and having to fix some of it ) , but to be fair I've not had any dealings with there diffs . My mazda had a torsion diff as std and was very good so maybe I will have a look at one. I have asked a diff company in the states if there is one from a ford or lincon that might fit ? Gripper are down the road from me but I want smooth diff for this as it's a every day car

Go with a Quaife ATB(torsen), its the only sensible option for a daily car.

As I said above, you don't even know its there until your barrelling through a corner.

Smooth operation with great results and as mad4amanda says, lifetime warranty.

ive a Ford Racing Torsen in mine. Cheap as chips, but in the event that wasnt available, I'd be using a Quaife ATB.

They work, and they are strong. And maintenance free.

I wouldnt even consider a diff with a diff pin over a Torsen for strength. Plus the Torsen in theory should offer better grip over a wider range of operating conditions. And smooth too.

I had a gripper specially made for my XJR, was quite clunky in operation, but a couple of bottles of friction modifier made it much smoother, wasn't a quaife available at the time or would prob have gone for that
