Custom bags for your cameras and stuff

Guys and Gals would you assist in some research for e. If you could have a camera bag that had trays of very specifically cut foam to match the camera equipment you owned with an online tool to drag and drop the objects onto trays that would then turn up at your door would you be tempted?

Probably not for me to be honest - my bag has adjustable sections which fit pretty neatly around the lenses and the camera body which is good enough for me. Good idea though and maybe interesting for the more serious snapper ?

I would be interested, anything that protects my gear better is good for me! There would have to be an easy (and inexpensive) way of ordering new foam parts when lenses or bodies were changed / upgraded though.

The idea of a 'tray' is a major one I think, as it implies you have to start lifting trays out to get at stuff underneath. In practice that means you'd have to put the bag down somewhere, then use both hands to get the top tray out and find somewhere to put it down while you forage beneath. That would rule it out for me.

By saying 'tray' it sounds more like a case, which Ithink would be quite good - at the moment I have some of those peli-case boxes with the foam cut into squares. You pick out the squares to fit whatever you are putting into the case. I spent ages trying to find a camera bag and ended up using some dividers from a Lowepro bag in a small M&S 'manbag' which I put a couple of foam blocks inside to support my camera sideways. It works really well, I'll put up a pic later.

I like the idea of your case though, is it something you are thinking of custom ordering, or selling to the public?
