Fiat Grande Punto 1.9 diesel sporting

looking at px my bmw e46 330ci to one of these grande puntos a couple of years old due to doing more miles to work so need something more economical but with a little kick to it. They look a stylish little motor and im very impressed with the interior, anyone got any advice of things to look for before i take the plunge?

I had one for a couple of years and liked it a lot, the main problem areas I am aware of are failing Bosch airflow meters and gummed up inlet manifolds and exhaust valves. They need a good thrash to get the best out of the engine and to prevent inlet manifold and exhaust valve problems, so I would be wary of a low mileage car that has spent its life in town.
