New Dash Warning Light Options Help & Advice

Hi all, just putting together the design for the new carbon dash and after changing the hideous plastic air vents i was looking at the condition of the warning light strip which is looking seriously second hand with lots of scratches, i've also been unimpressed with the brightness of the lights on a sunny day so was hopeing people could give me some feedback on similar mods they have done or some alternative options, i did follow a thread a little while back when some replacment panels had been made up, but had no luck trying to order as it seems i was late to jump on the bandwagon and there might of been some size or quality control issues. There was no issue of quality with the replacement panels, they were/are great.Greenmeanie is/was your man.
Unless i'm reading the post wrong i thought there had been some size issues in terms of some sanding etc but maybe that was not on all of them? Glad to hear yours was a good fit! I contacted Greenmeanie several times but had no joy!I'll try again . If anyone has any other ideas or options i'm all ears!!!

There were some issue with size on one of the runs, but all that as needed to rectify was a little trimming. I have one of Green Meanie's warning light panels and it is fantastic. It is amazing how may Griffs you notice now sport the new warning panel.Grean Meanie sadly had to part with his Griff but does post occasionally. I am surprised that none of the TVR parts specialists do not supply these.
Alternatively if you are a TVRCC member have a look at Onno's Griff rebuild thread. Onno has completely redesigned the layout of the Griff dash and it looks fantastic IMO.
Thanks for that, have been talking to Omno over the last couple of weeks and believe he is going for a similar set up to that on the chims!! everyone keeps telling me how great the ones from Greenmeanie are but thats just fustrating if there not available anymore!! tried contacting him again today so fingers crossed! thought i might of recieved some different options with all the creativity on here!!! Guess i'm just going to have to get creative all by myself. Had an idea for a tinted engraved toughened glass item but can imagine it will be £££££.Will keep you informed. Thanks for the reply

Steady on, there is no need for the C word!!! I am sure we would all prefer to look at it as similar to Griff SE dash as opposed to a Chim dash

Hi Barreti, went with the simple option of changing to the Tuscan round swivel vent as i'll be able to match up the one in the dash as the interior is being re-trimmed as well, wanted to get them anodized but have been advised against it as the centre piece that rotates would wear quickly [shame]
If you search :T350 seats do really fit in a griff: you can see the dash vents changed on Jeboa very clean example, wanted same seats but they dont fit with my roll-cage set up so settled for cerb seats.
Standard plastic jobbies are my biggest let down interior wise especially with the ally dash

I really hate the plastic vents too. My new dash will be traditional - it needs doing now - but I plan to also make my own veneered dash and already have a single big eyeball vent (Tuscan rear of centre console) and a pair of the smaller Tuscan dash vents
My current thinking is to put the smaller ones either side of the radio like I think you have and use the bigger one for the passenger side and get a brushed ali box made which it fits in to replace the existing box plastic vent.
If you have any detailed pictures I'd really appreciate having a look at what you've done.
