BMW E36 323i upgrading performance

Hi Guys,
Im new to this !
Im looking to inprove the performance of my 1997 E36 323i. There are many things i have read about swaping the intake and throtle body but ive found no difinative answers to weather this is easy or beneficial.
Also is there any other modifications that could be done for more power ?

The manifold and throttle body upgrade is brilliant. There is a guy who does a kit that bolts straight on. His email is [e-mail]

Stick a 2.8 in it instead. Doesn't need to be expensive to do.

You can also drop in a 325i engine for noticeably more power as it is unrestricted like the 323i is.
