Did later Cerbs come in 40 profile tyres???

I am sure in the distant past I read on here or in a mag that later cerbs (for a period) came with 40 profile tyres? Anyone remember or have this set up?
I am thinking that I will probably go for Goodyear Eagle F1s.... and probably 225 35 and 255 35 18s as am not sure 235 will work at the front nor am I sure 40s will work....

Mine has 235x40/18 front & 245x40/18 rear (all toyo) with no issues,both previous owners say that is all it has ever had.

I've got 235/40 R888s on the front and had to have the front inner wheel arch 'shaved' a little as it was fouling in full lock. It is still close but I can live with it. Some don't have this issue, but Im sure someone said it is more critical with the R888s (to do with the sidewall profile?) than regular tyres.

Guess it's down to the day of the week the body was put on the chassis

Had 255/35/18 toyo all round and they didn't touch but the new tyres of the same size do even after lifting it back to standard ride height some 20mm higher than it was. There's some serious variation in supposedly similar tyres.

Not my choice, just happened to be on when I bought it so I replaced them with the same. It's the rears that touch though funnily enough.

After my recent thread and lots of great comment from here, I became a little confused (not unusual for me!). Checking with former dealers, I was told some did come with 40 profile on the front, the only issue being you may need something which restricts the lock a little and is only a 20-30 minute job.

I had 225/35 but in the end went for 235/40. I was happy before but it is better now (not used it musch so far though) the sterring has a little more feel to it etc.

I am pretty sure that in 2001/2 time they moved to 40 profile for 18 inch wheels. But I could be wrong! It could have been a v short period!

Looks like it's eagle f1s 225 35 and 255 35! Not sure if a 225 40 is avail. Maybe I'll see if mike Sheffield chap will lend me his front wheels for an experiment...!!

and I have to ask the obvious question.....
Has anybody ever had understeer with the standard fitment ?
I've thrown mine (sometimes purposefully) at some pretty horrendous corners and have always been amazed at how well she turns in.

I guess that I'm just going too slow then

Gazza, F1 asymmetrics are available in 225/40/18. It's a size which offers quite a wide choice as I think they are fitted to Evo/scoobies etc.
