Are they any good?

I am going to buy some other bits and wondered if these were any good.

I now have a permanent branded indent of my bonnet stay in my fingers though so may have to keep it since its fits my hand so well!

I made my own mods: much better now. A simple answer to the hot stay problem is to whip some string round it. I use a short bit of that curly plastic stuff used to keep cables together.

Yup, they're ace - as is the boot opening kit. Both a doddle to fit too. The bonnet stay just bolts on to the mounting points for the original stay, 10 min job max. Once fitted, just lift the bonnet and it locks in place. As well as no more burning flesh, you will no longer have to keep buying those crap plastic stay clips that snap when you so much as look at them.

The broom handle is a good idea, presumably nicked from the Chimaera owners idea of keeping a spare golf club in the boot?

Yeah, it was that old 'anticlockwise to undo.... or is it...????' that confused me again. Still, nothing the old hotmelt glue gun and a couple of six inch nails didn't fix.... I meant helpful ordering it, not fitting it

well worth forking out for, far sturdier than the old one and keeps the bonnet steady when down, reducing wobbleness. It doesn't seem to hold the bonnet up as high as the original but not much in it.

And as I discovered you can un-clip the pin securing the ball joint and still remove the bonnet if you want better access. Rich...

You should have asked to see ours at Donington.
Well worth the expense and easy to fit. Gives you more time to drive the thing that way.

I just tried to order the boot kit via TMS, and they told me that Modwise was 'on hold' for the time being.

Can anyone shed any light?

Spoke to modwise recently.
On a bit of a break, service will resume at some point.

David was working on a new contract when I last spoke to him. The mod-wise work is just a hobby and not his full time job. I'm sure if you placed an order he would get round to it as soon as he had the spare time.
