Alright guys, don't really ever frequent this forum but was wondering if any of you knew anything about the BMW V10 project that Autobionics were undertaking. Having read the blog last year I've been checking back intermittently for the 7th page and now there's nothing there anymore.

What happened? Have they gone bust? Did they spend all their money on that crazy gearbox modfication? Aliens?

I have also been following that interesting project. No updates since ages bit I imagine they have other more profitable things to do in order to buy their bread and butter...

I met up with Jason and Steve at the Autosport Show at the NEC. The V10 project is coming along as you can read from the previous links. They fit in work on the V10 in and around work for customers.

not sure what to say about these guys but from a commercial point of view that is sick. Probably some good advertising for what they can do for you, but honestly do not see much point in altering a gear box in a way they do, dont they have anything better to do with their free time ? smile Great job.

Got to say they certainly like making life hard for themselves! I'd have just put the V10 on a decent aftermarket ECU (Pectel/Motec) and fitted a decent manual tranny, that way, when i wanted to tune the engine (which they will lol) you don't have to get a BOSCH expert to do it.

Nice to see someone doing things properly though ;-)
