Automotive Photography - Locations in London?

Hi Chaps,

I am shooting a (white) car on Friday night and want to shoot in London.

Ideally we are looking for 3+ locations in and around London.

Tripod is not an issue but lighting is.

Any locations would be greatly appreciated!

Also, when is Picidilly at it's quietest in terms of traffic etc? I guess around 4am?

I'd imagine most photographers aren't that keen to divulge their favourite locations as if do they will become unusable. Both from the point of everyone having seen it before and police/security guards. I normally use Google Maps to start the search, on satellite view then street view then go for a reccy.

If you mean Picadilly Cicrus it's busy 24 hours a day...Picadilly itself can be busy in the small hours too as it's the main route into the West End from anywhere West.

All the Car Mags and indeed TG and the like always seem to use The City and Canary Wharf for car shots. I guess the backgrounds are just that bit more dramztic and it's obviously very quiet at weekends and the middle of the night. Try stopping outside any major tourist attractions for too long at any hour day or night and I suspect old bill will be taking an interest fairly quickly. Someone I worked with once had an accident right outside Buckingham Palace and hit the gates....first thing he saw was a gun barrell!
